In 2024, brothers Max and Mich came up with a bold new idea: a project to reconnect people in a digitally saturated world. Together with their friend Christian, they envisioned Before the Internet (BTI)—a movement designed to revive face-to-face connection and genuine community.

Mich Ward, a driving force at Ventana Media Group, brought his experience in creating large-scale events to BTI. Collaborating with seasoned event producer Greg Cochrane, Mich has a track record of executing engaging, high-quality events with precision and creativity.

Drawing on their experience in the world of college event production and storytelling, Max and Christian aim to bring BTI to life as a way for people to experience the richness of life unplugged.

Inspired by a time when conversations were uninterrupted, moments felt meaningful, and community was central to daily life, BTI is a movement to reclaim those simple, real-life connections and foster a true sense of community and truly Live in the Moment.
